UK. English sparkling wine specialist The Nyetimber Group has rolled out its first activation for Nyetimber and The Lakes Distillery at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 in partnership with Avolta’s World Duty Free.
Running through the end of February 2026, the experience features tastings of Nyetimber Classic Cuvée Multi-Vintage and Tillington Single Vineyard 2016, alongside The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Edition Nostalgia and the travel retail-exclusive Boundless Single Malt Whisky.
The promotion includes a gift with purchase, offering a Lakes Copita Tasting Glass with Boundless or a Nyetimber Christmas Bauble with 1086 by Nyetimber.
This activation builds on the recent launch of Avolta’s English Sparkling Wine gifting campaign in Terminal 5. The release brings together renowned brands, including Chapel Down, Gusbourne and Nyetimber.
The T2 experience offers travellers the chance to ‘try before they buy’ and personalise their purchases, with an artist on site every Friday engraving custom wooden gift tags.
The Lakes Distillery’s Boundless lands in Etihad first class lounges
Driven by growing demand in the Middle East and Asia and an expanded travel retail focus, The Lakes Distillery’s Boundless single malt has been listed in Etihad Airways’ first class lounges.
The listing follows the brand’s July launch at UK airports with Avolta, aligning with its global expansion strategy and positioning the whisky as a permanent travel retail offering.
Boundless is crafted exclusively from high-quality first-fill oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks to influence the whisky’s maturation.
Crafted using the élevage technique, the whisky reveals orange oil and dried fruits notes from European oak, combined with delicate wood spice, toasted oak and subtle vanilla notes from American oak.
Boundless has gained early recognition since launching in September 2024, winning Gold at this year’s International Spirits Challenge and Silver (90 points) at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2025.
1086 by Nyetimber 2014 takes off in British Airways first class
Nyetimber continues its travel retail expansion with the 1086 by Nyetimber 2014 now served in British Airways First Class through year-end.
This builds on the airline’s earlier milestone as the first to serve an English prestige cuvée in first class, with 1086 by Nyetimber Rosé debuting on 30 March for a three-month period.
Aged on the lees for over six years, 1086 by Nyetimber 2014 is produced from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir.
