OTG appoints HMSHost veteran Jeff Yablun as CEO

USA. Leading airport hospitality industry player OTG Concessions Management has appointed Jeff Yablun as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Yablun, highly respected in the industry, retired in 2020 after 26 years with HMSHost, latterly as Chief Operating Officer.

He returns to the airport food & beverage sector with what his new employer describes as “a fresh perspective to steer OTG towards continued growth and success aligned with its long history of innovation”.

OTG said it will leverage Yablun’s expertise in airport hospitality management, strategic planning and market expansion to drive the business forward. The company noted he has a strong track record of “implementing innovative strategies and delivering exceptional results, and is well-equipped to lead OTG into its next phase of development”.

Yablun commented: “I am honoured to join OTG and work alongside its talented team to further enhance our offerings and exceed the expectations of our guests. Together, we will elevate OTG’s commitment to delivering unparalleled hospitality experiences while exploring new avenues for growth and innovation.”

OTG’s Chairman of the Board Thomas Fricke said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jeff to OTG as our new CEO. Jeff’s proven leadership skills and strategic vision make him the ideal candidate to lead our company forward. We are confident that under Jeff’s guidance, OTG will continue to thrive and innovate in the dynamic airport hospitality landscape.”

As reported, earlier this year OTG announced it was working with a private investor consortium on the acquisition of the company. The consortium is led by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management and Centerbridge Partners and includes Sculptor Capital, CPPIB Credit Investments III and Oak Hill Advisors.

Thomas Fricke is among the headline speakers for 2024 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference and Awards in Ontario, California (25-26 June). Access information on the event via our dedicated website here. ‍
