Pål Wibe leaves Travel Retail Norway – 09/11/06

NORWAY. PÃ¥l Wibe, Managing Director of Travel Retail Norway (TRN), left the company on 1 November.

TRN said it was a personal decision on his part to leave. The TRN board will soon appoint a successor, The Moodie Report understands. Florian Seidel has been appointed Acting Managing Director in the interim.

Wibe was a pivotal figure in TRN’s stated ambition to become “the best duty free retailer in Europe”.

He oversaw the doubling of sales from 2004 to 2006. TRN sales are now worth €200 million a year.
