SWITZERLAND. Dufry announced today that former Brasif executive Eduardo Pereira is the company’s new Procurement Director for the Americas.
Pereira, 46, will be responsible for all procurement in the travel retailer’s Regions 4 and 5, which include the US, Caribbean, Mexico, Brazil and the rest of Dufry’s operations in the Americas region.
He will have a double reporting line to José Gonzalez, Chief Operating Officer Region 4 North America and Caribbean, as well as to Nigel Keal, Dufry’s Global Procurement Director.
Pereira, who will be based in Miami and Saõ Paolo, has worked with Brasif for 20 years. An economist with an MBA from Insead France, in the first ten years with Brasif he worked across all areas and was the International Vice President responsible for all International Operations. In the last ten years he held the role of Purchasing Director for all Brasif retail operations.
“The strong knowledge and experience of Mr Pereira is a major asset in further strengthening Dufry’s procurement department,” said Dufry in a statement.
