Prep, prime, hydrate: Origins debuts ‘first-ever’ pre-mask primer

Origins has launched what it is claiming to be the first-ever mask primer, Maskimizer.

Maskimizer is a hydrating, skin-softening spray which, according to Origins, preps and primes the skin immediately before the use of a mask.

Formulated using Origins’ marine algae complex, which aims to keep moisture levels within the skin topped up and balanced, Maskimizer also contains anti-irritants to soothe the complexion. Together these benefits are said to help make the skin more receptive to the active ingredients in a treatment mask.

According to Origins, Maskimizer can be used before any clay, gel, cream, foam or charcoal treatment mask but the brand does not recommend using it with peel-off masks. Using the pre-mask primer makes applying and removing masks easier, said the brand.

Origins Maskimizer Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer is on-counter now at Origins travel retail locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and will be available in Asia Pacific and the Americas from May 2016.
