UK snacks brand Pringles is this month rolling out a travel retail-exclusive (TREX) Traveller’s Collection Suitcase Tin.
The product was previewed at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore this May.
The Traveller’s Collection features a reusable metallic tin styled as a colourful suitcase.
The format is intended to deliver strong shelf visibility while tapping into demand for travel-themed products and collectable keepsakes, Pringles said. Its reusable design extends the product’s use beyond the initial purchase, targeting gifting, impulse and on-the-go snacking occasions.
Each Traveller’s Collection Suitcase Tin contains two 70g cans of Pringles Original, alongside a set of travel-inspired stickers. The stickers can be used to personalise the suitcase tin or decorate other items.
Kellogg’s Benelux Key Account Manager International Travel Retail Brechje Houben commented: “This latest introduction reinforces Pringles’ commitment to driving channel-specific innovation to deliver solutions that resonate with the diverse needs of international travellers.
“Travel retail is the perfect environment for playful, keepsake formats like this, that surprise and delight shoppers. With the Pringles Traveller’s Collection, we wanted to create something that captures the joy of travel, while delivering the Pringles crunch consumers love.
“By including a set of customisable stickers, we are also giving travellers another unique way to interact with the brand and create a lasting memory of their trip.” ✈
