QATAR. Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has partnered with Qatar Duty Free to officially open its first pop-up boutique in the Middle East at Hamad International Airport.
The boutique will be at Hamad International until 26 January, before it travels to other cities around the Middle East in early 2016.
IWC Schaffhausen Regional Brand Director Luc Rochereau said: “We are extremely pleased to have opened IWC’s first ever pop-up boutique in the Middle East at a destination as exclusive as Hamad International Airport. We will have on display all the watch families of IWC Schaffhausen. Connoisseurs can select from the finest timepieces from the brand, which will be available at this pop-up boutique.”

Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Keith Hunter said: “At Qatar Duty Free, we like to offer an experience to our customers, not just a product, which means collaborating with suppliers to innovate and to inspire travellers, and continuously striving to create and deliver unique concepts while responding to customers’ desires and needs.
“Qatar Duty Free has built strong relationships with many of its suppliers, remaining open to innovation and encouraging collaboration, and our strong partnership with IWC Schaffhausen has enabled us to support them in this project. Offering our customers world-leading brands and select promotions such as this creates a vibrant and globally recognised retail environment at Hamad International Airport, enhancing Qatar Duty Free’s reputation as a world-class shopping hub.”
A highlight is that this is the first IWC boutique in the region to adopt the brand’s BTQ EVO concept. This concept features a new interior design, new materials and display arrangements that offer visitors an “incomparable and highly refined experience of Swiss haute horlogerie” said the brand owner.
