AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport enjoyed a record month for passengers in December.
“Last month was the highest monthly passenger traffic period since the International Terminal opened, when over 251,000 passengers chose to arrive and depart internationally through Brisbane,” Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) managing director and CEO Koen Rooijmans said.
Brisbane’s traditionally strong markets experienced solid growth in December, with China showing a +44% increase and UK figures up +29%. Australians travelling internationally were up +12% and New Zealand passengers rose +16% compared to the same time last year.
