Roger Fordyce to step down from Dufry North America role; Sarah Branquinho named Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer

INTERNATIONAL. Dufry North America Chief Executive Roger Fordyce is to step down from his role and from the group’s Global Executive Committee, effective from 30 June. He will be replaced by Chief Administrative Officer & Deputy CEO North America Jordi Martin-Consuegra.

In other senior management news, Sarah Branquinho has been named Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and joins the Global Executive Committee from 1 July.

Fordyce will stay on in an advisory role for the company in North America. He joined Hudson in 1988 as District Manager and held several management positions before being appointed as CEO North America in 2019.

Following his promotion, Jordi Martin-Consuegra will report to Chief Executive Officer Operations Eugenio Andrades. He joined Dufry Group in 2005, where he served in several management functions such as IT and Corporate Resources Director as well as Chief Resources Officer until 2017 and was appointed Chief Administrative Officer & Deputy CEO North America in January 2018.

In related news, Brian Quinn will assume the role of Deputy CEO. Quinn, who has been with Hudson for over 30 years, currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and is responsible for the operational performance of Hudson’s stores across North America.

In her new role, Branquinho will report to group CEO Julián Díaz, with a remit to foster and develop the group-wide implementation of the Dufry Diversity & Inclusion Strategy. She worked for Dufry in various roles since 2015, is currently president of the Duty Free World Council, is the World Business Partner observer on the board of directors of ACI Europe and has held several other management and board positions in industry organisations such as the European Travel Retail Confederation.
