Rotary Evolution watch, dubbed “two faces in one” |
Worldclassbrands, which represents The Dreyfuss Group’s Rotary watches in the Americas travel retail market, will showcase the Swiss brand’s latest innovations at the 2012 IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas next week (Worldclassbrands booth number 732).
Explaining the decision to appoint Worldclassbrands as its official travel retail agent, The Dreyfuss Group International New Business Manager Martin Lovatt told The Moodie Report: “The Americas have been of interest to our company for some time. Although our international team have an excellent understanding and appreciation for the travel retail market, they are based in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
“We felt that it was vital to partner with a US-based travel retail agent, someone who could provide local market support to our clients.
“Although it was tempting to launch Rotary at the IAADFS show in 2011, we decided to wait until the correct infrastructure was in place – after all, failing to plan is planning to fail!”
Lovatt added: “The Dreyfuss Group is extremely excited about joining forces with Worldclassbrands. Lenny and his team have a wealth of experience and an excellent reputation within the travel retail industry not just in the US but around the world. The team is fantastic and they all have a passion for the business and the brands they represent.”

Rotary signed Worldclassbrands as its official travel retail sales agent in December 2011. “Like Rotary, Worldclassbrands is a leader within its industry,” Lovatt continued. “With over 20 years’ experience, it delivers brands to over 50 major airlines, the cruise industry and more than 400 individual duty free locations. Its extensive customer base is supported by Lenny’s team of Area Managers.
“The Area Managers are responsible by region and work very closely with their after sales staff to provide exceptional service to each customer.
“Worldclassbrands prides itself on its special duty free pricing, synergistic product lines, timely delivery and outstanding service – the exact qualities we were looking for in a partner.
“Initially, Worldclassbrands’ key focus will be the travel retail sector in North and South America, Latin America and Canada; we are also exploring opportunities to join forces in Asia too.”
Lovatt observed: “Although Worldclassbrands have only officially been our agent since December, the progress has been remarkable. Listings have already been secured with airlines including Air Canada, United Airlines, Dragonair, Air Macau and China Airlines.
“Several of our airline partners are reporting excellent sell-through, in fact we are regularly featuring in the top three for watch sales.”
Lovatt added: “We have also held a number of meetings and are in advanced negotiations with major airport and cruise ship operators in the Americas.”
