Safe Bag signs new open-ended deal with Kraków International Airport

POLAND. Safe Bag has signed a new open-ended supply agreement with Kraków–Balice John Paul II International Airport in Poland.

This follows a similar agreement at Warsaw Airport and recent temporary agreement at Katowice-Pyrzowice International Airport as the company expands its presence in Eastern Europe.

The company will offer its luggage protection and tracing services to travellers at Kraków Airport, which served around 5.8 million passengers in 2017 (+17% on 2016).

The contract will begin at the end of March 2018 and does not have a termination date.

“After our open-ended entrance to Warsaw Airport and the temporary entrance to Katowice, we are happy to start business in Krakow and to operate, as mentioned in December, at the three largest airports in Poland,” said Safe Bag CEO Alessandro Notari.

“We are concentrated both on acquisitions of new airports for internal and international lines,” added Safe Bag President Rudolph Gentile. “We are expecting to further expand penetration in Eastern Europe, thanks also to our acquisition of Pack&Fly.”

The company signed a letter of intent for the acquisition of 51% of Pack&Fly Group earlier this month.
