SDA joint venture Buy Paris Duty Free captures Chinese consumer award

FRANCE. Buy Paris Duty Free, the retail brand of the SDA joint venture between Aéroports de Paris and Lagardère Travel Retail, has won an award for ‘Best Duty Free Store’ in a Chinese consumer survey.

The award came from Make a Better Choice, a Chinese organisation that carries out customer satisfaction surveys. These are carried out independently from the retailers and brands, without financing from external brands and companies, according to Lagardère Travel Retail.

Mystery shoppers tested ten duty free stores at ten different airports. Buy Paris Duty Free came out on top due to “its selection of products, their availability and the shopping atmosphere inside the store”. Its survey rating was 9.2 out of 10.

News of the award win was published on the WeChat platform of Make A Better Choice on 15 December.
