Seattle-Tacoma International Airport seeks partners for 13 retail and dining spaces

USA. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is seeking partners for 13 dining and retail spaces as part of its Concourse C expansion project, which is estimated to be completed in 2026. The request for proposal (RFP) process, authorised by the Port of Seattle Commission, will begin in Q1 2024.

The project which is part of the airport’s Upgrade SEA capital projects programme, will transform the area where C and D Concourses meet by adding four floors to the building’s current three floors.

The RFP to be called in early 2024 will encompass seven food & beverage locations plus other units within the C Concourse Expansion

The RFP includes:

*Seven food & beverage locations within the C Concourse Expansion

*One pre-security food & beverage location adjacent to the C Concourse Expansion

*Three retail locations within the C Concourse Expansion

*Two retail locations surrounding the C Concourse Expansion

“These new dining and retail locations within the C Concourse Expansion are a key component to building a port of the future,” said Port of Seattle Commission President Sam Cho. “They will advance the Port of Seattle’s goal of creating new business opportunities and jobs at SEA. We encourage local and small businesses to apply, as we know travellers love the Pacific Northwest favourites that define the dining and retail experience at the airport.”

“The new dining and retail opportunities in the C Concourse Expansion will help transform SEA into a five-star airport,” said airport Managing Director Lance Lyttle.

“As part of the RFP process, we encourage first-time, local, small and minority-owned businesses to bid on these opportunities. This expansion is going to be a gem of the airport, and I know we will have fantastic dining and retail options to give guests more of what they need and love about SEA.”

Interested parties can sign up for more information through the Concession Inquiry form on the Explore SEA site or via email.

In addition to the new dining and retail spaces, the project adds new premium lounge space, an Interfaith Prayer and Meditation room, a nursing room, and an outdoor viewing area. The atrium area, called the Tree at C, will feature grand seating and a performance area for live music. ✈
