US. Smashbox Cosmetics has unveiled its new summer make-up collection, called Sunset Boulevard. As the name suggests, it was inspired by the famous Los Angeles street.
According to the company, the products have been designed to capture the laid-back glamour of the city in summer – characterised by warm, golden sunsets and glistening lights. The overall effect is said to be effortless summer chic.
The Sunset Boulevard collection aims to give consumers bronzed, lit-from-within skin paired with glossy, radiant lips. Among the key products is Fusion Soft Lights in Sunset (US$30), a multi-hued silk powder pressed with a shimmering golden sunset overlay.
Suitable for all skin tones, the powder is a blend of three shades that can be swirled together or used alone on the cheeks, temples and nose.
Also key is the Fusion Bronzing Body Powder Set in The Strip (US$55). This mirrored, oversized compact is said to deliver instant, head-to-toe glow. It contains a silky powder in shades of pink, bronze and gold, infused with a sweet, tropical fragrance. It comes with a soft kabuki powder brush for easy application.
Lastly, for lips the Sunset Boulevard collection feature Lip Gloss Pots (US$16). These are described as ultra-glamorous, silky-smooth glosses that melt into lips for a perfect summer pout. The shades available are Heat (a creamy coral); Sexy (a sheer berry); Melt (a natural pink); and Simmer (a shimmering Champagne).
