US. In a joint statement from Diplomatic Supply Americas (DSA), Imagination Unlimited International (IUI) and Inniskillin have announced new listings of Inniskillin Gold Vidal Oak Aged Icewine onboard LanChile as of 1 April 2004 and Brazilian carrier Varig as of 1 May 2004.
In 2003, Inniskillin Icewine was rated the 47th best-distributed wine and spirit product, and the second best in the category of Champagne, sparkling, table and dessert wine in the 2003 global ranking by “Best’n’Most” (Generation DataBank). “We are extremely honoured at such a major entry into the South American market,” said IUI owner Lars Johansson (pictured, below right).
Commenting on the listing, DSA account director Samantha Rouff (pictured) said: “DSA has been involved with Inniskillin Icewine since the beginning. The brand is tailor made for our industry; the compact premium 200ml package is very space friendly. You can fit six bottles at US$ 39 of Inniskillin in the same space as a [single] premium product which retails for US$85.
“It is good financial sense and a product that is very popular with the International traveller, including wine enthusiasts. It is a good fit all around for all parties.”
DSA president Steve Flanagan (pictured, above left) commented: “We, DSA successfully list Inniskillin Icewine in our programmes on Delta. With the addition of LanChile and Varig and we are reviewing additional opportunities to expand on this partnership.”
