UK. Food & beverage operator SSP is to open a 2,000sq ft M&S Simply Food outlet at London Stansted Airport on Wednesday (26 November).
The store will stock a range of food and drink lines including products for customers on-the-go and food essentials for those on their way home from the airport. It will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will also offer flowers, wines, beers, spirits and chocolates.
The Stansted outlet joins a growing portfolio of SSP-operated M&S Simply Food stores across UK airports including London Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
SSP UK National Retail Operations Director Bob Johnson said: “This is the ninth M&S Simply Food airport store under SSP’s management, and we are delighted to be continuing our long-standing relationship with them. I’m sure the arrival of the new store at Stansted will be welcomed by both travellers and airport workers.”
Manchester Airport Group Head of Retail Food and Beverage Jo Macey added: “An £80 million transformation of the terminal building is underway at Stansted and we’re delighted M&S Simply Food is joining the line-up of leading brands getting involved with this exciting development.”
