Starboard reveals Alaska-exclusive retail assortment with Virgin Voyages

USA. Leading travel retailer Starboard Group is debuting an Alaska-exclusive retail experience onboard Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady as the vessel is set for its first Alaska season.

The offer features destination-inspired collections, local artisan brands, personalisation offerings and commemorative products for the sailing.

Starboard noted that exclusive-to-cruise items account for more than half of all onboard retail sales on Alaska itineraries.

Made-in-Alaska brands with a commemorative feel deliver strong commercial returns, says Starboard. Pictured is some of the cross-category offer for Virgin Voyages.

Onboard Brilliant Lady Starboard is debuting:

    • A special collection from M&W Design Co. featuring a handcrafted wooden ship standee and sustainable wooden postcards featuring Virgin Voyages–branded graphics;
    • An exclusive Virgin x Salty Sisters Red Collection featuring handcrafted jewellery, hair clips and bolo ties incorporating Virgin’s signature red.

  • In apparel, Starboard’s Alaska exclusives include the Dreamy Alaska collection for women, Happy Camper collection for men and Little Scouts collection for kids as well as limited-edition pieces such as an Alaska bomber jacket.
  • Guests on Alaska itineraries can personalise bags and hats using patches, pins and bag charms curated by Starboard.
  • Starboard has also created a ‘Taste of Alaska’ collection featuring snacks and gourmet products such as locally inspired chocolates, small-batch sea salt, and kelp-based seasonings, hot sauces and cookies from local artisan brands.
  • Other highlights include exclusive charms inspired by Alaska’s ports of call from Pandora and hand-painted ornaments.
  • Featured Alaska-based and artisan brands across food, beauty, gifts and lifestyle include Waterbody, Barnacle Foods, Mark Kelley Photography, Native Northwest by Garfinkel Publications, Alaskan Reflections, Denali Dreams, Salty Sisters, Dune Jewelry, Prince William Sound Salt Co and Chugach Chocolates.
