StrEAT has developed into one of Areas’ most recognisable proprietary brands, with a growing international presence and a scalable airport model.

Canadian coffeehouse and restaurant chain Tim Hortons, a brand expanding worldwide, adds a familiar international name to the StrEAT F&B offer

The concept is positioned around the fusion of local culinary identity and global street food trends, aimed at enhancing dwell time through a more dynamic and social dining experience, according to Areas.

The Ibiza opening takes the StrEAT estate to seven locations worldwide.

In Spain, the format operates across multiple sites at Madrid-Barajas Airport and other airports, while in the USA it is present at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (Terminal E) and Newark Liberty (Terminal B) international airports.

Areas said further expansion is planned with two additional openings at Barcelona–El Prat Airport.

Areas Iberia Marketing & Expansion Director Mireya Muñoz said, “StrEAT was born in Ibiza in 2017 as a different way of understanding airport dining.

“Today, it is a concept with international reach that maintains its essence: connecting the local with the global and offering travelers an authentic, dynamic and high-quality gastronomic experience.

“With this opening, we return to its origins to continue driving its evolution.” ‍
