Head Marketing Retail & Services Patrick Graf said: “The landside business continues with double-digit growth, mainly driven by strong local consumer behavior and expansion in the retail business early this year.

“We see still positive performance on the airside business. However it is affected by construction works in the commercial area in view of the “˜one-stop’ security which is opening in Q4 2011.

“The strong Swiss Franc is another component which hits our performance, mainly in the duty free business. However, there is an overall positive trend with encouraging numbers coming from the food & beverage business.”

Graf said that the airport’s recent “˜Best of Switzerland’ Trinity promotion in the airside center had been very well perceived – “Many well-known strong Swiss brands have executed great promotions, showing the high quality of the products and educating by explaining the history, heritage and philosophy of the brands.”
