Korean luxury beauty brand Sulwhasoo is hosting the 2019 Sulwha Cultural Exhibition at the Amorepacific headquarters in Yongsan, South Korea. The ‘Micro-sense: House of Pattern’ exhibition will run from 18 October until 29 December.
The ‘Micro-sense: House of Pattern’ exhibition celebrates the patterns of the natural world through the lens of eight contemporary Korean artists. They include architect Leehong Kim, space designer Sungjin Park, illustrator Joolee Kang, fabric designer Jinjin Kim, interior designer Jonghwan Baek, fashion designer Daeun Lee, fashion designer Eunae Cho, and visual artist Kyungmo Choi.

Each artist took inspiration from butterflies, birds, and flowers — and reinterpreted these patterns in the context of a traditional home. The immersive exhibition invites guests to see these natural patterns in a commercial way, by navigating through five distinctive spaces within a traditional Korean home. These spaces are the living room, dining room, bedroom, powder room and library.
The Sulwha Cultural Exhibition is Sulwhasoo’s main cultural programme, and is now in its 14th year. The exhibition was originally called Sulwha Club, and began in 2003 to promote traditional Korean culture.
