French skincare specialist Talika is looking to further strengthen its presence in the travel retail channel, via the launch of new body care products. The brand is beginning to build a significant presence within certain Asia Pacific markets, and the inflight channel.
“The Middle East, and South East Asian countries, are the next big target for us,” Talika and Marketing (HK) Assistant Brand Manager Travel Retail – Airlines and Shops Alma Lee told The Moodie Report. “And we are [complementing] our facial skin care portfolio with a focus on the body sector.”
Launching this month is the Slim Program, which comprises Talika’s Light X-Slim device and a 100ml Slim Serum. Inspired by the brand’s facial Phyto Beauty Therapy and Light Duo offer (which harnesses innovative LED-based therapy), the Slim Program is said to help consumers counter cellulite using infra red and ultrasound technology.
The Light X-Slim uses light to break up fat deposits, boost micro-circulation and improve skin tone, without any unwanted side effects, according to Talika. It should be used in tandem with the brand’s Slim Serum, described as an “intelligent” treatment which features the brand’s Phyto-Beauty Enzyme (a natural ingredient that transforms light into DNA-repairing energy). The serum is said to reduce fatty tissue, stimulate lipolysis, stop oxidative stress, slow down the storage of fat cells and counter cellulite’s unsightly “˜orange-peel’ effect.
Also available in travel retail is Talika’s Bust Phytoserum and Back Up 3D. The former is said to deliver clinically proven, visible firming and lifting results to the bust area. Plant-based active ingredients plump and enhance curves to help consumers grow a cup size in six weeks, according to the brand.
Back Up 3D is said to deliver a push-up effect to the buttocks, sculpting, smoothing, firming and lifting for a more slender yet shapely effect.
