TAIWAN. Staff members from Taiwanese travel retailer Tasa Meng’s Kaohsiung Airport Duty Free Shop joined General Manager Gary Chau to help children with disabilities from the Children Are Us Foundation pack gift-boxes for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The Children Are Us Foundation is a charity established by a group of parents of children with intellectual disabilities (ID). The charity is committed to serving the needs of people with ID and improve their lives. The foundation encourages their independence by helping to build their confidence and by providing sufficient care.
With just a few days remaining before the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Tasa Meng team provided a helping hand to the Children Are Us Foundation, which is one of many charity organisations struggling to meet sales targets, according to the retailer.

The foundation gets the children involved in making breads and biscuits at its factory. The Tasa Meng team helped children with sorting and packing the different products into gift-boxes.
Tasa Meng cited the charity, which has reported overall corporate purchases have shrunk by more than 50% this year. The retailer continues to support charitable causes by purchasing gift-boxes to support its initiative of ‘Spreading Love to Tribes’.
Some of the gift-boxes will be sent to elementary schools in rural areas around the island. “With encouragement and sincerity, love is spread over each corner of Taiwan,” stated Tasa Meng.
