FRANCE. The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) is supporting The Moodie Davitt Report’s global #KickCancerThon fundraising campaign at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.
#KickCancerThon (click here for recent updates) is the brainchild of the late Sinead Moodie, who was Chief Operating Officer for The Moodie Davitt Report at the time of the campaign’s launch.
The global and local #KickCancerThon initiative has brought together travel retail industry partners in support of cancer charities through a series of fundraising activities.
Throughout the week, exhibitors, visitors and industry partners at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference will be invited to cycle on stationary bikes installed on the parvis outside the Palais des Festivals.

The initiative aims to collectively generate as many kilometres as possible. TFWA has pledged to donate €10 for every kilometre cycled to the cancer research programme at The Royal Marsden Hospital, where Sinead Moodie received treatment for NUT carcinoma.
The movement transforms delegates’ participation into direct financial support for cancer research, with every kilometre contributing to the overall fundraising effort.
Alongside the cycling challenge, TFWA has confirmed that ‘Yes We Cannes!’ Handisport will return for its fourth edition during the 2026 event.
Organised by TFWA and Stade Toulousain Handisport in partnership with m1nd-set, the initiative aims to promote inclusion, accessibility and awareness through adaptive sport while raising funds to support Handisport programmes.

The event will take place on Sunday 27 September from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Allées de la Liberté, adjacent to Cannes City Hall.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience a range of adaptive sports, including wheelchair rugby, blind football and a hand-bike challenge, before the morning concludes with a wheelchair rugby tournament.
TFWA President Sarah Branquinho said, “These initiatives reflect TFWA’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful social impact alongside our global business platform, playing our part in supporting the fight against cancer and promoting greater inclusion and accessibility.”
“I encourage everyone to join us by putting their own energy behind these two inspiring causes.”
TFWA Vice-President Marketing Alessio Crivelli said, “‘Yes We Cannes!’ demonstrates the power of our industry to come together in support of accessibility and inclusion by combining sport, solidarity and community spirit.” ✈
