INTERNATIONAL. The TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, taking place from 11-15 May 2014, is experiencing “record” demand from exhibitors for stands, according to the show organiser.
TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen said: “TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference is a crucial event in the industry calendar for suppliers, retailers, landlords and agents developing their businesses in the Asia Pacific region.
“We are delighted by the demand for stand space which, at this early stage, is well over the tally of stands at the same time last year.”
Online visitor registration for the event, which is taking place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center in Singapore, will commence from 19 February on the TFWA website (www.tfwa.com).
TFWA Asia Pacific 2013 attracted the largest number of exhibitors in the event’s history with 253 exhibiting companies representing thousands of brands attending the show. Trade visitors were also up last year by +13% to over 2,450 versus the previous year.
The schedule for the 2014 show includes an informal golf tournament on Sunday, sponsored by Inter Parfums, and a Welcoming Cocktail for delegates and exhibitors in the evening at Raffles Hotel to kick off the event. Monday 12 May will be a day of conference and workshops including speakers that will provide industry executives with trend information and examples of best practice for the travel retail industry, said TFWA.
As last year, One2One will provide a pre-arranged meeting service in a dedicated suite of meetings rooms at the exhibition hall where participants can meet with key executives in their sector. Attendees can also opt for a more informal setting for meetings at the TFWA Asia Pacific Bar, which will be open for breakfast as well as after-show cocktails.
Highlights of the social diary for the event include the Chill-Out Party on Tuesday 13 May at Marina Bay Sands Sky Park, which overlooks the bay, and the Singapore Swing Party on Wednesday 14 May at the Alkaff Mansion.
