US. Coty has signed an agreement with Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, to create a fragrance portfolio, according to a report in Women’s Wear Daily (WWD). Berry herself will appear in the advertising.
“Halle is an iconic actress and symbolises beauty to many generations,” Coty Beauty US Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Steve Mormoris told WWD, at the Personal Care Products Council’s annual meeting in Florida.
“She adds another dimension to the celebrity fragrance market. Halle has always been a little more mysterious, not quite as open with her personal life as some other stars. Her fragrances will allow her to present another facet of her personality to her fans.”
The debut Halle Berry scent is slated to launch worldwide in spring 2009, in mid- and mass-market doors.
