ITALY. Italian cosmetics company The First has unveiled a series of new skincare lines – PZ, PKZ Spa and Scrinium Vital – and a new men’s fragrance, Marina Yachting, inspired by the ocean.
PZ unisex skincare range
PZ is described as a unisex skincare line that is suitable for all ages and skin types. The formula is based on the company’s exclusive Texturenhancing System which takes advantage of the synergic action of Hyaluronic Filling Spheres and Perfection Peptide P3.
Hyaluronic Filling Spheres are microspheres of marine origin which are said to penetrate the skin to various depths, increasing in volume by up to 30 times and reshaping the microsurface from the inside by taking advantage of the skin’s natural hydration. Perfection Peptide P3 is a tripeptide which is said to stimulate the process of desquamation (shedding of the outer layers of the skin) and cellular renewal.
The product is claimed to result in smoother and more radiant skin, with a reduction in fine lines and pigmentation. The formulation is free of colourings and has a cream-gel texture that is light and easily absorbed. The fresh fragrance aims to reflect the natural notes of the formula.
The outer cartons feature contrasting colours of black, green and grey while the containers feature a contrast between light and dark shades, opaqueness and transparency. Materials used include Indian silk, mother-of-pearl from Bali, metal and varnished glass.

PKZ Spa well-being products
PKZ Spa is a line of holistic well-being products inspired by the discipline of Ayurveda. Traditional Ayurvedic elements are combined with active ingredients in new formulations with trace mineral extracts derived from stones and crystals and essential oils.
The PKZ range does not contain parabens, mineral oils and lauryl ether sulphates. There are three product types: aromalotions for the body and for spraying in the air; body and hair care products; and bath salts.
According to the company, the aromalotions offer treatment and aid the recovery of physical and emotional harmony following the guidelines of Ayurveda. The three variations – Soothing-balsamic, Purifying-detoxing and Toning-energizing – can be used directly on the skin, diffused in the air, diluted in bathwater or used in wellness treatments.
The body and hair care products use oils combined with modern cosmetic technologies in the form of creams, balms, oils and emulsions.
The range consists of: Body Pampering Cleansing Oil – Emollient, 200 and 30ml; Gentle Oil Shampoo Body-Enhancing, 100 and 30ml; Mineral Hair Balm – Nourishing, 100 and 50ml; Body & Hair Healing Oil – Restoring, 100 and 30ml; Body Mineral Lush Balm – Nourishing, 200 and 500ml; Supreme Care Cream-gel – Firming, 200 and 500ml and Hand & Foot Mellow Butter – Restoring, 100ml.
The concentrated bath salts are inspired by the five elements that form the universe according to the Ayurveda doctrine: Air – oxygenating; Ether – softening; Earth – mineralising; Fire – energising; Water – draining.
The bath crystals can be used either in warm bath water or in combination with the body products as a natural scrub.

Scrinium Vital skincare products
Scrinium Vital skincare products, suitable for all ages and skin types, have been developed to treat a range of skin-related problems. Four different series target specific skincare needs, as follows:
Screen series: The Screen Vital System is a protective-restorative complex based on anti-oxidant active ingredients, vitamins and minerals that keeps the skin optimally protected and helps skin defend itself from oxidative factors and attack by free radicals. The range consists of: Day Screen Cream SPF15, 50ml; Day Screen Balm SPF15, 50ml; Cleansing Mousse Soft Remover, 125ml and Antismog Concealing Mask, 75ml.
Remedia series: Products are formulated with the exclusive Remedia Scrinium Complex to fight skin sensitisation and skin imperfections such as pigmentation, discolouring and skin tone problems. The series comprises: Anti-Redness & Dark Spots Daily Balm SPF15, 50ml; Synchromatic Matt Foundation (in four colours); Dark Spots Pigmental Serum, 30ml; Pigmental Treating Mask, 75ml and Climatic Defence Serum, 30ml.
Perfecting series: The Perfecting Scrinium System, based on polyphenols, bioflavonoids, active ingredients and oils of botanical extraction, is formulated to reduce imperfections, refine skin texture and achieve smooth skin. Products include: Daily Base Cream-Gel, 50ml; Eye Contour Antidarkness Serum, 15ml; Microexfoliating Cleansing Balm, 75ml; SOS Antiblemish Gel, 15ml; Night Treating Cream, 50ml and Treating Base Foundation (in four colours).
K Age series: The K Age series was developed to prevent processes caused by oxidative stress and to stem and reduce the signs of ageing. Products are based on the K Age Vital Complex, a combination of anti-oxidant agents and active ingredients which aim to boost the physiological compactness of the skin and minimise the depth of wrinkles as well as delay their formation. This series comprises: Total Source Daily Cream SPF15 – Soft, 50ml; Total Source Daily Cream SPF15 – Rich, 50ml; Total Source Daily Cream SPF30 – Extra Rich, 50ml; Total Source Night Cream, 50ml; Total Source Eye Balm, 15ml; Microexfoliating Total Treatment, 75ml; Smooth Lips Microexfoliating Butter, 15ml; Total Source Soothing Mask, 75ml and Repairing and Moisturizing Hand Cream, 75ml.

Marina Yachting men’s fragrance
Marina Yachting is a men’s fragrance inspired by the sea. The fresh fragrance has citrus top notes of grapefruit, orange and bergamot leading to a floral heart of bourbon geranium, basil leaf and thyme, enveloped by a woody base of cedar and musk.
The flacon has a squared geometry with a blue metal capsule cap, and features a bold image of a spinnaker contrasting against the crystalline transparency of the bottle. The outer carton evokes the lines of the bottle with a chromatic succession of white and blue.
The fragrance is available in 50ml and 100ml edp spray. Ancillaries include an After Shave Spray, 100ml and a Hair & Body Refreshing Shower Gel, 200ml.
