SINGAPORE. The Planet Traveller will open a new flagship store at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 in March. The 13,000sq ft door, located at the Departure/Check-in Hall North, Mezzanine Level, is said to be the world’s largest lifestyle travel store. All merchandise will be duty- and tax-free.

The Planet Traveller describes itself as a premium, one-stop lifestyle travel store that answers all the needs of modern jetsetters and discerning travellers. The new store will feature 16 distinct merchandising zones, notably Travel Gear, Business Bags, Lifestyle Bags, Female Travel, Junior Travel, Travel Tips, Travel Books & Maps, Outdoor Gear, Winter Wear, Travel Warmies, Travel Accessories & Appliances, Travel Security and Organizers, Travel Care, IT/Mobile Accessories, Travel Gadgets and a Fine Selection of Travel Gifts.
At 33 metres long, the travel accessories section will be the largest in Asia, and will offer over 4,000 travel accessories and appliances. Brands featured will include Go Travel, Humangear Go Toob, PacSafe, Travel Smart, Urban Buff and Heys Xscale.

The travel gear section will offer a large collection of premium names, such as French luggage brand Lipault, which combines fashion and function. Its soft cases are collapsible, which make them ideal for space-conscious travellers.
Swedish brand Thule, meanwhile, is known for its heavy-duty, durable luggage. Other established brands such as Crossing, Hartmann, Mandarina Duck, Sunco and Victorinox will also launch new collections at The Planet Traveller flagship store.
The new shop will include a Repair Section manned by experienced specialists, who will attend to travellers with damaged luggage, addressing problems such as broken wheels, defective locks and stuck trolley handles.
Another noteworthy feature is the Winter Wear section. This will offer an extensive selection of travel apparel and travel “warmies”, in addition to extreme thermal wear made from breakthrough materials. Brands to be carried include Icebreaker from New Zealand, which uses merino wool; Silkbody, known for its Silkspunâ„¢ and Puresilkâ„¢ base layer fabrics; and other established winter wear names such The North Face and Patagonia.
In addition, the store will carry an extensive travel gifts selection, featuring brands such as Black+ Blum, Giorgio Fedon 1919, Mondaine, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Philippi, Troika and Wild & Wolf.

Inspired by the universe and sky as a medium of travel, the new flagship store will feature a black ceiling, blue flooring, navy blue furniture and hanging and floor-standing globes.
