The Puig group shows off Herrera’s icy new cool – 16/03/05

SPAIN. The Puig group has updated its Carolina Herrera 212 On Ice franchise with a new duo for summer 2005. It is being launched in European travel retail this month.

The women’s version is described as a fresh, floral, fruity juice. It opens on notes of bergamot and grapefruit, leading to a heart of jasmine, rose and peony on a base of musk and sandalwood.

It is presented in the signature On Ice flacon and transparent outer carton, this year coloured a delicate shade of peach. It is available as a 60ml edt spray.

The men’s version – a sensual, woody transparent – is characterised by notes of mint and sandalwood. Other key ingredients include ginger, nutmeg and incense.

212 Men On Ice is presented in a rectangular flacon encased in an ice block-style outer carton coloured a refreshing sea-blue. It is available as a 100ml edt spray.

The advertising visual features a couple poised to embrace on a weathered balcony overlooking downtown Manhattan.

Also new from Herrera is the new men’s fragrance, Aqua (The Moodie Report.com, 5 January).

In addition, the Puig group has extended its “alternative” Comme des Garçons brand with a new limited edition for the women’s fragrance Commes des Garçons 2.

Love Hurts is a 25ml spray bottle is the form of an eye-catching silver lurex heart. The outer carton is black with a silver heart motif.

It follows on from last summer’s Flower Power edition, and the previous year’s Happy Pillow.
