GERMANY. Düsseldorf Airport has awarded Travelex a five-year contract to exclusively provide foreign exchange and tax refund services from 1 February 2027.
Travelex will initially open five stores alongside ATMs across arrivals and departures, comprising two landside and three airside locations and offering more than 50 currencies.
The win extends Travelex’s presence to six of Germany’s busiest airports, adding Düsseldorf to Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich.

Travelex, which entered Germany at Frankfurt Airport in 1993, now operates 25 stores and 60 ATMs nationwide.
The Düsseldorf award follows its appointment as exclusive travel money provider at Munich Airport’s new €665 million Terminal 1 extension pier earlier this year. ✈
