Swiss cigar specialist Villiger has introduced a new colour line for its Mini and Corona cigars.
Designed to attract attention on-shelf, the new line includes six flavoured variants: Minis in Red (vanilla with and without filter), Black (Sumatra) and Saphir (Oriental Tobacco); and Coronas in Red (vanilla), Black (Sumatra) and Blue (Cuban).
According to Villiger its Red Mini cigarillo features a hint of vanilla, accenting a combination of Virginia, Burley and Black Cavendish tobaccos; the Black Mini, described as a mildly aromatic cigarillo, is a blend of Java, Brazil, Havana and Oriental tobaccos and finished in a wrapper from Ecuador; and the Saphir Mini, a medium strength spice smoke, is classed as a “jewel of a cigarillo for adventurers”.
Available globally in travel retail and duty free, the Minis tins contain ten cigarillos and the Coronas come with three tubes.
Villiger Senior Vice President Export Gert Kamphuis commented: “We are continuing to keep the range fresh and interesting by introducing new formats and presentations. As our markets in Asia expand, particularly in China and Hong Kong, we need to offer travellers a bigger assortment.”
