World Duty Free Group opens new Santiago de Compostela store

The new store at Santiago de Compostela is located airside and measures 310sq m


SPAIN. World Duty Free Group has opened a 310sq m store in the new terminal at Santiago de Compostela Airport. The walk-through concept, which has been installed by the group at many of its airports, is situated airside just after security.

The company said that the store “offers an eclectic assortment of specialty products celebrating the region, including Ribeiro, Albariño and Mencía wines; Galician cheeses; traditional confectioneries, such as the “Tarta de Santiago”, “Suspiros del Apóstol” and “Perlas de Santiago”; as well as preserves and Galician arts and crafts.”

Director of National Operations Daniel Montero said the retailer is continuing “its commitment to the airport of Santiago de Compostela and the latest airport retail trends, offering an open store intended to provide a quality service to passengers, with the best brands in the market, and a clear choice for local products.”

Aldeasa-WDF has been present at the Galician airport since 1992, and employs ten people.

The shop includes a strong range of the core categories, and carries a flavour of the region (below)
