YSL’s new Forever Light Creator line |
Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) has further extended its Forever Youth Liberator skin care collection with a trio of new products. In line with the current trend for correction and clarity, the Forever Light Creator line is said to combat dullness, and help create a radiant complexion. It will be available in travel retail from March.
“Women are keenly attuned to radiance, they want a luminous complexion,” noted Consultant Dermatologist Dr Thierry Michaud, member of the YSL SkinScience Committee. “Age-related pigmentation disorders, and dark spots in particular, are a common complaint. Redness, notably rosacea, also ranks among women’s top concerns when consulting doctors.”
He added: “But the main factor determining whether skin is considered beautiful or not is its ability to reflect light in a uniform manner without colour discrepancy, shady zones or spots of any kind.”
As with the original Forever Youth Liberator collection, the new Forever Light Creator products harness the discoveries of Glycobiology, described by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) as one of the 10 sciences that will change the future of medicine.
Glycans are found most commonly on the surface of cells, are essential to their binding, and play a crucial role in cutaneous equilibrium. New research indicates that glycans are present in three types of cells (keratinocytes, melanocytes and fibroblasts), which each have an impact on surface shadows (tiny wrinkles and pores), colour disorders (age spots, red patches) and the skin’s lack of transparency.
The new Forever Light Creator products contain the active ingredient Glycanactif WTâ„¢, a combination of three glycans that help to improve the skin’s three sources of light (relief, colour and transparency) to create the purest light for all types of complexions.
The result, maintains YSL, is more uniform, translucent, luminous, radiant skin. In clinical tests, after four weeks of twice daily application, there was a -5.7% decrease in shadows and pores, pigmentation inconsistencies declined -12.8%, and density improved by +8.1%.
The Forever Light Creator trio comprises a Serum, Lotion and Emulsion Milky Lotion. For Asian markets, the serum is clear, while the international version is coloured pearly pink.
