Oslo issues tender for stores, services, car rental – 02/02/06

NORWAY. Norwegian airport authority Oslo Lufthavn has issued a tender for retail stores, service functions and car rental at Oslo Airport.

The contract period runs from 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2011. The last day for registration is 9 February 2006 and registered bidders will receive further information in mid-February.

The tender for commercial activities comprises:

Shops and kiosks

Allocated areas are situated on both Arrivals and Departures level:

Total Arrivals area covers approximately 1,040sq m;
Total Departures area measures about 240sq m.

Car rental

Allocated areas are situated on Arrivals level spanning a total area of approximately 200sq m.

Travel agency premises, VAT refunding and photo machines have allocated areas on Departures level with a total area of approximately 60sq m.

Oslo Lufthavn said the choice of partners would be strongly influenced by the bidders’ documented commercial experience from other European airports, the company’s strength, choice of operational concepts, ability to maintain high quality service, pricing and concession fee.

Oslo Airport’s passenger traffic totalled 14.9 million in 2004 and 15.9 million last year. For 2006, 16.5 million passengers are forecast. Turnover for 2006 is forecast at about NKr2,300 million.
