POLAND. Lagardère Travel Retail Poland has unveiled L’Officina, an Italian restaurant at Warsaw Chopin Airport, marking the latest addition to its growing proprietary food & beverage portfolio.

Developed entirely in-house, L’Officina reflects the company’s focus on delivering locally relevant dining experiences that resonate with today’s travellers.

Located in the public arrivals area, the restaurant offers a contemporary take on Italian cuisine, with a menu featuring freshly prepared pizzas and focaccia, complemented by Italian snacks, artisan gelato, mini desserts, and a selection of Italian wines, beers and premium illy espresso.

Lagardère Travel Retail Poland’s in-house team developed every aspect of the concept, including its visual identity, interior design, menu development and customer experience.

The restaurant provides quick, quality service for airport travellers, within an inviting Mediterranean atmosphere.

Designed to evoke the warmth of an Italian neighbourhood eatery, the space combines contemporary styling with a bright, welcoming atmosphere for diners

The opening reflects the growing importance of foodservice in the airport commercial landscape while advancing Lagardère Travel Retail’s dining strategy through concepts that combine operational strength, local relevance and broad customer appeal, the company noted.

The expansive dining space enhances Warsaw Chopin Airport’s food & beverage landscape with a contemporary design inspired by Italy’s signature green, white and red palette

Lagardère Travel Retail Poland Deputy CEO Dariusz Sinkiewicz said, “Airports in Poland continue to see strong passenger growth, but spending on food & beverage is growing even faster.

“As a result, F&B is no longer seen as a complementary service, but as an important driver of both revenue and passenger experience. Our role is to turn these trends into concepts and formats that work in the airport environment and unlock the potential of growing passenger traffic.”

L’Officina introduces a contemporary Italian dining experience to the airport, combining vibrant setting with quality cuisine.

Designed for the airport environment, its menu offers freshly prepared, convenient options for travellers on the move.

Lagardère Travel Retail Poland Managing Director Foodservice Maciej Gajkowski said: “Pizza is one of the world’s most universal food categories. It appeals to families, business travellers, groups of friends and solo passengers alike, regardless of age or nationality. For an airport environment, that broad appeal is a major advantage.”

By combining global expertise with local market knowledge, Lagardère Travel Retail continues to develop concepts tailored to the specific characteristics of each airport while delivering a consistent standard of quality and customer experience.

Lagardère Travel Retail Regional COO Europe & North America Lucio Rossetto said: “In airport foodservice, a ‘one concept fits all’ approach is becoming less and less relevant. Travellers at different airports have different needs, travel patterns and expectations.

“While we continue to develop international brands, proprietary concepts are playing an increasingly important role, allowing us to create offers tailored to the specific characteristics of each location.

“L’Officina is a great example of this approach – a concept developed by our local team in Poland, drawing on the experience and expertise we have built across airports throughout Europe.” ‍
