COSTA RICA. Aeris Holding Costa Rica has issued Request for Proposals (RFPs) for a range of key specialty retail outlets, an executive lounge, and food & beverage concessions in the international terminal at Juan Santamaria Airport.
Most of these concessions will be located in the new area opened in November 2010.
Juan Santamaría International Airport is located 20 kilometres from San José, the capital of Costa Rica. It serves almost 3.5 million passengers per year, of which some 80% are tourists.
The airport is the main entrance point to a country that has among the highest biodiversity ratings in the world. Its geographical position, two coast and mountain systems, and numerous and varied microclimates draw a large tourist market, principally from the US, Canada and Europe.
The RFPs embraces the following three packages:
1. One executive lounge location located on the third level of the holdrooms building, overlooking the airfield. Total concession space is 564.63sq m.
Site visits will be held today, 15 March at 10.00a.m. and at 14:00p.m. Questions can be sent to Aeris between, Wednesday 16 March and Friday 18 March.
Answers to the questions received will be sent to all potential participants on 21 March. The deadline for bids is Friday, 15 April.
2. Two specialty retail locations at the main entrance of the international terminal. Total concession space is 49.85sq m.
Site visits will be held on Thursday 17 March at 10a.m. and 14:00p.m. Questions can be sent to Aeris between Thursday 17 March and Monday 21 March.
Answers will be sent to the potential participants on Wednesday 21 March. The deadline for bids is Monday 18 April.
3. Three food & beverage locations. Total concession space is 525.47sq m with 198.42sq m landside and 327.05sq m airside.
Site visits will be held on Tuesday 22 March at 10a.m. and 14:00p.m. Questions can be sent to Aeris between Wednesday 23 March and Friday 25 March. Answers to the questions will be sent to the potential participants on Tuesday 29 March.
The deadline for bids is Tuesday, 26 April.
