GERMANY. Global airline alliance SkyTeam has announced it will launch a new lounge in Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 in the non-Schengen international zone in April 2026.
To be operated by Global Lounge Network, the 550sq m space will offer panoramic airfield views, relaxation area, showers, soundproof phone booths and high-speed wifi.



The food & beverage offer will feature freshly prepared local and international dishes and a full-service bar.
The lounge will welcome eligible passengers flying with China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, Saudia Airlines and Vietnam Airlines.

SAUDI ARABIA. Jeddah Airports has called tenders for five VIP and Business Class lounges across 7,000sq m at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA).

The five spaces include a flagship 3,500sq m premium lounge in the Terminal 1 International Departures area.

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND. Qantas has announced that major construction works will soon begin on its Sydney International Business Lounge and revealed that its Auckland International Lounge will open ahead of the peak holiday season in December.
The airline said upgrades represent a significant investment in premium travel experience, with the Sydney International Business Lounge redevelopment set to increase seating capacity by over +30%.

Designed by Caon Design Office and Akin Atelier, the reimagined lounge will draw inspiration from Sydney’s natural landscape, including the Blue Mountains and Bondi.
For the first time and in a nod to pre-flight wellness ahead of ultra-long-haul flying, the lounge will expand to offer a 150sq m outdoor terrace.

The lounge will feature a show kitchen with signature plated menu options and dining experiences, alongside a hosted bar offering barista-made coffee and a curated drinks menu.
The new Qantas Auckland International Lounge is set to open on 17 December.
Created in collaboration with Caon Design Office, Akin Atelier and Architectus’ New Zealand studio, the lounge celebrates the natural beauty of New Zealand, with materials sourced in partnership with local suppliers.
LITHUANIA. After what operator Lithuanian Airports describes as “a highly competitive tender process”, Swissport has signed an eight-year agreement to operate a new Aspire Business Lounge as part of the travel hub’s ongoing transformation.

SAINT VINCENT & THE GRENADINES. The Garifuna Lounge has opened at Argyle International Airport on the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent.

The new facility is open to all travellers, regardless of class, and offers amenities including complimentary meals and beverages, and a children’s area.
The space has been decorated by Eloise Gonsalves, wife of Saint Vincent & The Grenadines Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves. The airport company said it pays homage to the nation’s Garifuna heritage, blending cultural elements with modern comfort.

SPAIN. Plaza Premium Group has opened its new landside hotel, the Aerotel Madrid, in Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport Terminal 4.

The hotel brand is now established at ten major international airports worldwide in London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Cebu, Qingdao, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Muscat, Jeddah and Shanghai.

AUSTRALIA. Plaza Premium Group has opened a Plaza Premium Lounge in the Adelaide Airport Domestic Terminal.
The lounge’s design features natural textures, layered lighting and a contemporary colour palette inspired by local landscapes.

Guests will find flexible seating, dedicated workstations and high-speed wifi.
The lounge offers an all-day menu featuring an array of hot dishes, light snacks, artisan pastries, assorted breads and a dedicated pancake station for breakfasts.

The breakfast pizza menu is led by the signature ‘Aussie style’ egg and bacon pizza, a local favourite.

ITALY. The official inauguration of the Prima Vista Lounge at Bologna Marconi Airport has been staged.

Lounge owner Aviapartner said: “The new space is designed to offer comfort and high-quality services to all premium travellers. This is not only an important milestone for Aviapartner Italia, but also the beginning of a strategic and successful partnership with the airport operator.

“We share a vision of an increasingly welcoming and innovative travel experience and a desire to redefine the waiting time before departure.”

SINGAPORE. Singapore Airlines has unveiled its new First Class SilverKris Lounge in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2. It marks the completion of the first phase of a S$45 million (US$34.48 million), two-year lounge renewal programme.

Located near departure Gate E on Level 3, the 1,050sq m facility is +11% larger than its predecessor and accommodates around 130 guests.

TÜRKİYE. Airport hospitality specialist TAV Operation Services has unveiled its reimagined lifestyle-led Primeclass concept.

It is guided by a new ‘The Place To Be You’ mantra and philosophy, through which the TAV Airports-owned company said it aims to “transform airport lounges into vibrant lifestyle destinations – blending design, culinary excellence and authentic human connection”.

USA. American Express has opened a Centurion Lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport, marking the travel hub’s first proprietary lounge by a credit card issuer and the 31st location in the Centurion Lounge network.

Set in nearly 18,000sq ft, the luxury space is located in Concourse B by Gate 31 and is designed to reflect Utah’s natural landscapes and artistic culture.
