UK. Alpha Retail Catering, part of Alpha Airports Group, has upgraded its airside food halls at London Luton and Jersey Airports. The firm has provided tailored solutions for each airport, based upon the principles of offering a range of high-quality, fresh catering to consumers. At Jersey Airport, the refurbished food hall provides a mixture of quick, cold snacks and freshly-prepared hot food. The combination is designed to appeal to the wide passenger base, which includes families and business travellers.
The facilities include a Deli Sandwich Bar, with sandwiches made to order, and a ‘grab and go’ area for fast purchases. Fresh cooked to order meals are provided by a WOK and omelette counter, where hot food is prepared in front of customers, to complement the more traditional hot food counter which includes all day breakfasts on its menu.
The food hall offering at London Luton Airport has been upgraded in order to service the airport’s growing numbers of passengers and deliver more choice for the passengers. This includes an increased fresh product offer with the addition of a Deli Sandwich Bar and an extended hot food selection. The Shakespeare pub has been refurbished to offer a light and contemporary environment.
Jerry Robinson, Managing Director of Alpha Retail Catering, said: “As a business we recognise that the profile of airport passengers is changing, particularly in those airports where budget airlines provide a high percentage of business. Our recent refurbishments respond to a need for high quality catering, tailored for each airport, in order to best meet the expectations of our customers.”
