ITALY. Italian fashion house Alviero Martini has unveiled its Spring/Summer 09 collection of 1a Classe accessories.
The new season sees the return of the hand-carried clutch, the bucket bag and the versatile shopping bag. Leathers, canvas and jute are used, which is said to reflect the growing desire for eco-friendly materials.
GEO MARINE: In this young line, the company’s signature Geo map print matches with white, red and blue patent leather details and soft ribbons in the same colours. To complete the look, there is a metal zip and thick borders that aim to confer character.
WHITE MARINE: These models are the same as the Geo Marine line but manufactured in white patent leather, described by the company as a very summer colour. The Geo material is present in the borders, in the stamps and in the under-ribbons. This is the most fashionable line of the seasonal collection.
LACE WORLD: This line comes in lace-printed nylon net, suitable for versatile uses: either for day or evening wear. The colour variations are black and red.
GEO DENIM: This washed and soft denim is said to give the line a fresh and young connotation. The models are the same as the canvas line but with the use of a lighter-coloured leather.
