Dufry’s Sao Paulo staff receive training on UL Readers | |
INTERNATIONAL. Buch + Deichmann (B+D) has announced “successful results” from its first appearance at TFWA Asia Pacific in Singapore.
The eyewear specialist, which was founded in Denmark, described the exhibition as “a positive experience which will help strengthen and consolidate the company’s presence in the region”.
A stylish booth received visits from several representatives from the company’s main duty free retail customers, while “significant new interest” was also reported: “35 prospects from Korea, Japan, Malaysia, India, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Cambodia arose”.
The company said similar success was seen at the earlier IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas, where “a lot of progress was made on both ongoing and new negotiations which will continue to strengthen B+D presence within the duty free arena”.
In other news, B+D recently introduced its new UL Readers line to sales staff, supervisors and purchasing officers at Dufry’s stores in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Part of an ongoing series taking place at sales points worldwide, the training courses are designed to “encourage a deeper approach to the B+D concept and novelties”.
