Belvedere bids high at FDFA Convention to land The Moodie Report charity prize – 23/11/06

Belvedere Duty Free’s Torben Vedel Andersen – happy to support a good cause

CANADA/DENMARK. Belvedere Duty Free was the big giver at the Frontier Duty Free Association Convention’s silent auction in support of Child Find Canada.

The Denmark-based company – which sells Danzka and Sobieski vodkas in global duty free and travel retail – outbid all other attendees to purchase a double page advertising spread in an upcoming issue of The Moodie Report’s print edition, with all the money raised going to the Canadian charity.

Torben Vedel Andersen, Belvedere Duty Free’s Regional Director – Americas, Nordic, said: “It is so nice to support a good cause while supporting a great brand in a great media.”

Belvedere’s bid for the advertising was the single largest contribution generated by the silent auction, for which the prize was donated by The Moodie Report publisher Martin Moodie.

Child Find Canada assists in the search for missing children and seeks to eliminate the problem through educational and awareness programmes. Funding is provided primarily from the corporate community and individuals. Child Find Canada receives no government funding for its services.
