AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport is set to add a new entertainment destination to its Skygate precinct with the opening of multi-level electric go-karting raceway Game Over in 2027.
Described as Queensland’s largest electric go-kart circuit, Game Over will offer a large fleet of karts for guests from as young as four years old.
The raceway will anchor a 3,600sq m purpose-built entertainment facility, alongside an eight-lane ten-pin bowling alley, arcade games, interactive attractions and a food & beverage precinct.
The venue will also include dedicated spaces for birthday parties, corporate events and group functions.
Game Over will complement Skygate’s growing entertainment and leisure offer, which includes Fever’s immersive dinosaur experience Dinos Alive, indoor entertainment venue Area 51, Golf Central and popular grocery retailer Landers Pocket.
The precinct also features DFO Brisbane and Queensland’s only 24/7 Woolworths, alongside ample free parking and easy access to major arterial roads.
Brisbane Airport Executive General Manager Commercial Scott Norris described Game Over as another milestone in Skygate’s transformation from a retail-only precinct into a destination where visitors can spend an entire day.
He said: “Skygate is evolving into much more than just a shopping destination. We’re creating a place where people can come together to enjoy memorable experiences, whether that’s racing friends on the go-kart track or teeing off at the driving range, followed by a bite to eat afterwards.
“Every new attraction adds another reason for families, friends, visitors and locals to visit, stay longer and keep coming back. We’re building a destination that offers something exciting for every age and interest.”
Game Over General Manager Brad Ward added, “This is a game-changing development for Game Over and a significant investment in the future of family entertainment in Queensland.

The announcement forms part of Brisbane Airport’s ongoing A$5 billion Future BNE transformation, supporting its wider role as a gateway and a key economic driver for Queensland. ✈
