Butlers builds on its flavour portfolio with Big Bars debut at Cannes

Big on flavour, texture and indulgence, Butlers Big Bars bring a multi-sensory twist to the chocolate aisle

Family-owned Irish chocolatier Butlers Chocolates is set to debut its latest flavour innovations at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Stand P15, Mediterranean Village).

Made with sustainably sourced cocoa and no palm oil, Butlers Big Bars tap into the growing trend for multi-sensory chocolate experiences, combining generous layers, chunks, crunches, textures and fillings across four signature varieties.

These include Hazelnut & Crisp Rice Praline Crunch; Honeycomb & Puffed Rice Crunch; Salted Caramel & Almond Praline Crunch; and Salty Butterscotch & Candied Almond Crunch.

The range also includes a seasonal offering, the limited-edition Christmas Cinnamon Caramel & Hazelnut Praline Crunch.

Butlers Big Bars come in bold, colourful packaging designed to deliver strong shelf impact and appeal to a new generation of chocolate shoppers.

The packaging also communicates the brand’s sustainability credentials and distinct flavour profiles, making the range easy to identify at shelf.

Adding to its Cannes presence, Butlers has been shortlisted across several categories in this year’s TR Business Global Travel Retail Awards and Frontier Awards. The winners will be announced at ceremonies on 29 and 30 September, respectively.

Butlers Chocolate Café in Dublin Airport Terminal 2 features on the shortlist for both events, alongside a Best Confectionery Product nomination for the Butlers mini-bar bags with TR Business and recognition for the brand’s sustainability initiatives from Frontier.

Alongside Big Bars, the stand will also feature a selection of Butlers’ flavour-driven chocolate assortments.

The company’s sustainability approach extends across its entire operations, from the sourcing of ingredients through to packaging, production and distribution.

In addition to using sustainably sourced cocoa and zero palm oil, the company generates more than 25% of its electricity requirements through solar power, saving 170 tonnes of CO2 annually.

Energy efficiency, waste reduction and lower-impact logistics are among the other areas where Butlers is investing to reduce its footprint.
