Images of the Day: Lancôme and AÏDA serve up a Very Cherry collaboration

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Duty Free Global from Ireland, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

Beauty meets pâtisserie: The partnership illustrates Lancôme’s continued embrace of cross-category experiences to bring its brand universe to life

Today’s images comes from a distinctly sweet meeting of two heritage brands, as Lancôme joins forces with historic Viennese café and pastry house AÏDA to celebrate the the recently launched La Vie est Belle Very Cherry fragrance.

The images were shared by fourth-generation AÏDA owner Dominik Prousek on LinkedIn.

The two brands have developed a limited-edition Lancôme cherry macaron, available at selected AÏDA locations throughout September. The macaron was inspired by the fruity gourmand character of the Very Cherry fragrance. Customers who purchase the limited-edition macaron receive an exclusive Lancôme fragrance set.

La Vie est Belle Very Cherry is described as Lancôme’s first woody cherry fragrance. It combines a black cherry accord with violet leaf absolute and a warm oud accord enriched with cocoa butter absolute and Madagascar vanilla infusion.

Lancôme is no stranger to cross-category creativity. The L’Oréal-owned beauty house has previously explored the intersection between fragrance, gastronomy and hospitality with Café de La Rose at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.

Created in partnership with Qatar Duty Free, Café de La Rose café blends beauty, fragrance and food & beverage in a multi-sensorial expression of the Lancôme universe.

The concept was awarded Airport Food & Beverage Marketing Campaign of the Year at The Moodie Davitt Report’s recent 2026 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Awards in Bengaluru.

A cherry-inspired fragrance, a limited-edition macaron and two heritage names – a delicious dual recipe for bringing the Lancôme universe and AÏDA’s tastebud-tempting heritage to life in an unexpected way.

Lancôme Café de la Rose at Hamad International Airport offers an environment that is part retail, part café with motifs that draw inspiration from Lancôme’s rose emblem and pink colour palette. Click here for our full story.
