UAE. Cartier has followed the lead of Dubai Duty Free and donated AED82,000 (US$22,500) to the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs.
The gesture was made in support of Dubai Duty Free’s 20th Anniversary Charity Drive, which saw the operation donate its anniversary day sales to charity – an amazing US$1.9 million. The donation represented the daily sales for Cartier products at Dubai Duty Free on the anniversary day (20 December 2003).
Commenting on the donation, Dubai Duty Free managing director Colm McLoughlin said: “We are delighted that Cartier, along with some of our other suppliers, took the lead from Dubai Duty Free’s 20th Anniversary Charity Drive and gave generously to a worthy cause, such as Al Noor.”
Cartier Middle East managing director Patrick Normand added: “We were impressed with Dubai Duty Free’s anniversary donation and are happy to be linked with such an unprecedented charity drive. We are delighted that our contribution will benefit the children at Al Noor”.
