GERMANY. Casualfood has extended its partnership with Deutsche Bahn (DB) with the launch of a ServiceStore DB at Berlin’s historic Schönhauser Allee suburban train station.
The transport catering specialist’s portfolio now includes six franchise-operated outlets – four in Berlin, one in Frankfurt and one in Giessen.
The Schönhauser Allee store experiences high footfall due to the station’s connection to the Berlin Ringbahn inner-city circle line and underground network. These service shops provide travellers and locals with a variety of daily necessities, including freshly baked goods, sandwiches, cakes, snacks, sweets, coffee, drinks and tobacco.
The store is part of Casualfood’s strategy to expand its presence across German railway stations through its own brand outlets and partnership with DB.
The group already operates basta! in Hamburg main station, Quicker’s in Hamburg Altona and Frankfurt main station, and Levante in Mainz. Three new outlets will open at Hamburg Dammtor train station during the first quarter of 2025. 🧑🍳
