Chanel has unveiled a limited-edition Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick collection and a reimagined bottle for the Chanel N°5 Eau de Toilette. Both are available in global travel retail.

The collections are fronted by Chanel Global Brand Ambassador, Australian actress Margot Robbie. Robbie is best-known for her roles in films such as Wuthering Heights, Barbie and The Wolf of Wall Street.

The Rouge Allure Velvet matte lipstick collection presents a redesigned version of Chanel’s signature click case. It now features design cues from the house’s Coco Crush jewellery line, including an incised criss-cross at the bottom. The collection introduces eight lipstick shades in total, including five limited-edition colours.

The limited-edition shades are: Premier Pas, Crush, Toi et Moi, See you at 5 and Rencontre. The collection is completed with Rouge Charnel, Essential and Rouge Vie.

The Rouge Allure Velvet formula combines high-intensity pigments with a luminous matte finish, while maintaining a hydrating and comfortable wear.

The collection is complemented by the Le Crayon Lèvres lipliner range, with eight coordinating shades designed to be paired either tone-on-tone or in contrast with the Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks.

Chanel has also introduced a limited-edition duo of luminous matte lip colours for Rouge Allure Velvet. The set features two new shades – 478 Rencontre (powder pink) and 479 Crush (brownish rosewood) – presented in a gold-coloured pouch.

In addition, Chanel has unveiled a newly designed bottle for its N°5 Eau de Toilette. It features a square, softly contoured flaçon with a cylindrical cap. Notably, the bottle doesn’t include a label to adopt a more minimalist design.

The N°5 Eau de Toilette fragrance, created by Perfumer Ernest Beaux in 1924, remains the same. It opens with a floral bouquet of rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang, elevated by aldehydes, before developing into a deeper sandalwood and vetiver base, adding texture and warmth.

Commenting on the fragrance, Chanel In-House Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge said: “N°5 Eau de Toilette is a modern, abstract floral composition distinguished by its subtly woody facet. The fragrance asserts itself through its elegance and complexity.”
