Château Patache d’Aux, part of French wine specialist group AdVini, is marking Lunar New Year 2026 with the launch of an exclusive, limited-edition expression.

The special edition is being showcased with a series of high-profile promotions across global travel retail, including Paris, Bordeaux, Geneva and Amsterdam airports in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail. The activations began in late December.

The roll-out will extend to the Middle East from the end of January, with a dedicated presence at Dubai Duty Free.

Lunar New Year 2026 (17 February) will welcome the Year of the Fire Horse, a Chinese zodiac animal associated with energy, renewal and prosperity.

Château Patache d’Aux is a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur from the northern Médoc. The Maison has a long-established visual identity centred on the patache – a carriage pulled by three horses – which has featured on its label for generations.

The motif, a central element of the Lunar New Year design, symbolises the three families that have shaped the château’s history.

The Château Patache d’Aux Lunar New Year edition is being showcased at key French airports with Lagardère Travel Retail. Pictured is the high-profile promotion at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The brand has reinterpreted the patache emblem with fire horse and festive Lunar New Year motifs that reflect themes of renewal and prosperity while showcasing the château’s heritage and appellation.

The bottle comes in an exclusive Lunar New Year box designed to enhance the release’s premium gifting appeal.

“Lunar New Year is a key moment in the travel retail calendar, particularly for gifting-driven categories such as fine wine,” commented AdVini Key Account Manager Travel Retail Ieva Olina.

“With Château Patache d’Aux, we wanted to create a limited-edition expression that feels both culturally relevant and true to the château’s heritage.

“The horse has always been a powerful symbol for the estate, and aligning this with the Year of the Fire Horse allows us to tell a compelling story in airport environments.”

She added, “Through our activations with Lagardère Travel Retail across Europe, and soon with Dubai Duty Free, we are delighted to bring this exclusive release to travelling consumers at some of the world’s most important international gateways.”
