POLAND. Warsaw Chopin Airport is anticipating a significant boost in business traffic after revealing plans for an on-airport office and retail complex.
Construction of the Chopin Airport City project, with investment from Polish airports state enterprise PPL, is expected to start in 2014, approximately 150m away from the airport’s passenger terminal and 10km from the city centre.
Once completed, it will feature 17 office buildings with usable floor space of over 170,000sq m and at least one parking space per 50sq m of area leased. A central retail and dining complex is a core component of the development.
In an effort to attract and inform investors and potential tenants, Chopin Airport City has launched a new website, covering current news, plans and graphics, including scheduled implementation stages and technical details of the planned facilities.
It has also produced a promotional video, allowing viewers to take a look around the area and learn some key facts about the project.
