ZIMBABWE. DFP World is set to debut Zimbabwe’s first duty-free store at Harare International Airport, offering what it describes as a portfolio entirely approved by global luxury powerhouses and brand owners.
The concession is managed by Duty Free Stores of Zimbabwe Plc (Ltd) and backed by DFP World’s Namibian investment arm Afrique Duty-Free.

Set to open later this year, the store is under development at the airport’s new terminal and will occupy a prime sterile-zone location beside the main food court and primary aerobridges.
The project introduces a compliant and transparent model for luxury travel retail, ending years of fragmented practices in Zimbabwe.
DFP World CEO Matin Agha Mohammadi Saluth said: “Our partner is reliable, organised and built on integrity. This is not a shop launch – it is the structural transformation of Zimbabwe’s travel retail and luxury landscape.”
DFP World has also teamed up with a well-known travel retail system provider, with details to be revealed during or after the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. ✈
