
UAE. Passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport climbed by +6% year-on-year in the first nine months, hitting 18.5 million, Abu Dhabi Airports has reported.
In September passenger numbers climbed by +5% to 2.1 million.
During the month India remained the top origin and destination market, with volumes growing +10% to 355,328 passengers.
There were other notable performances among the key destinations in the Middle East. Traffic to and from Qatar climbed by +18.4% to 70,627; Saudi Arabian traffic rose by +19% to become the third busiest market, while Egyptian traffic posted a +37.9% surge to 57,885.
